The Property Care Association was formerly known as the BWPDA (www.bwpda.co.uk) and is the premier trade body for the structural waterproofing, damp-proofing, timber preservation and structural maintenance industry in the UK. The PCA places great emphasis on standards of workmanship and ethics of its members.

Constructionline are owned by the Department of Industry (DTI) and are a national online database for pre-qualified contractors and consultants. Their service is recommended by the OGC Common Minimum Standards and The Local Government Task Force.

The British Structural Waterproofing Association seeks to improve standards within the industry in relation to the waterproofing of basements, underground cellars and vaults etc by means of: qualifications for members, publications, promoting standards, helping customers to find contractors, thorough vetting of members' expertise. South East Timber and Damp specialise in the waterproofing of basements and cellars and converting them to dry workable spaces.
